Activities on Okanagan Lake

Eye-catching Okanagan Lake covers 84 miles from Vernon to Penticton. Kelowna occupies just nearly half since the phenomenal 5 – Lane overpass links the eastern and western sides of the lake. Okanagan Lake is famous for its over 30 beaches all over the region. Most of the beaches have playgrounds, bathrooms, and concessions.

Have the best view of the lake from a stand–up paddle-board, sailboat, kayak, wake boat, pedal – boat, fly-board, canoe, and charter boat. There are boats for each kind of water enthusiasts. The lake is refreshing and welcoming during summer, and some of the activities include the Beach parking, Boating, Marinas, Scuba diving, boat launches, and the paddle trail, among others.

Kelowna consists of great pairings. Hiking trails around the city

The Apex Trail

At the downtown pinnacle is Knox Mountain, a paradise for runners, hikers, photographers, and mountain bikers. The Apex trail can either begin from the bottom or from the parking lot, which is in the middle of the mountain.

The Light Blue lake Trail

It offers a diversity of trails enabling hikers to discover the dog park. However, one pathway is outstanding than the rest.

The Lebanon Creek

Located in the Upper Mission, this gravel trails extend to Cedar mountain. Hikers get impressive views of Okanagan Lake, the mountains and the city landscape.

The Teddy Bear loop

This is a circular trail covering 6.29 km of the terrain. It was affected by the 2003 fire. It has some magnificent lookouts.

The Angel Springs

Offers hikers with a trail through a green forest. Hikers admire the canyon views and beautiful physical foundations.

The Boucherie Rush Trail

It is accessed from the western side through East Boundary Road. The mountain is seen from various parts within the Kelowna area. It is a dormant volcano making the hike more unique.
